Bye The Sea
At first the stillness was soothing. I’ve always enjoyed being alone. It’s safer that way. The shield between me and others is what is protecting me and my fragile mind. Now there was no need to be protected because there was no one to be protected from.
Day 3, Twilight
“The sea before me is never ending. Her royal beauty takes me under and turns me into her slave. I can sit her for hours, doing nothing but watch. Watch as she changes her mood and make the waves crash at the big rock a bit further out. The joyful sound of seagulls laughter rings in my ears and the salty smell of sea weed fills my nose and makes me intoxicated. Here I could stay forever.”
Day 6, Morning
“Today was the first time I saw her. She was sitting on a rock surrounded by water. Her beautiful features were not of this world. I could only se her upper body, but I could tell she had no clothes. Her long golden hair was covering her female bosom. I felt an urge to make her look at me and as I stared at her in admiration she turned her head like she read my mind and meat my yearning gaze. For a moment everything was standing still, the seagulls were no where to be heard. Then in a blink of an eye the moment was broken and she was gone, leaving nothing but splashing water. I began to wonder if it ever happened or if it was just a dream.”
Day 14, Sunrise
“When I woke up, I didn’t know why. Then I hear it. It was the sweetest sound you could ever imagine and it called out to me. I couldn’t resist I hade to follow it. It took me from my soft thicket bed and led me to the seashore. And there she was in all her glory. The rising sun reflected in her golden hair and made her shine like a goddess. She took the air out of my lungs made me breathless. She was looking at me curiously and she was smiling the most adoring smile. She was sitting at the rock again and singing to my longing heart, summoning me. She wanted me to come to her. I took a step out into the water. It was cold and made me shiver but there was no desire to quit. Her song was filling every pore of my body, I couldn’t see or hear anything else. As I came closer I could for the first time se her lower body, it was a gigantic fin. She was a mermaid. The significance struck me like a wave. Could this be real? The green scale reflected playfully in the sun. I was stunned. But still she controlled me.”
This is my last lines, she wants me to go with her and I know that’s what I want to. She’s the reason of my existence. I was born to love her, and I will do so for the rest of my life. I leave my diary behind, if there will be a time when someone comes along and finds it and read it, I will be remembered. But I doubt that, I’m the only one left.
Yours Truly
